There are thousands of voice teachers and coaches out there. Why choose Corinne Bach over other voice teachers and coaches? When choosing a voice teacher, Corinne recommends researching not only the teacher’s credentials, but also their performance background. A good voice teacher should be able to teach you good technique and have a degree or certification in voice and/or pedagogy. A great voice teacher is not only an excellent communicator, is trained in vocal pedagogy, understands the differences in learning styles, and has deep empathy for their students, but also has a strong performing background and can be a role model for emerging professional singers. There are thousands of teachers out there whom you could choose, either online or in your hometown. Ultimately, you have to decide who resonates with you and your singing goals. ABOUT CORINNE BACH: Corinne Bach is a master vocal technician, touring professional singer, recording artist, music educator and director, as well as a career mentor; this combination is exceptionally rare in the industry. Corinne has not only taught music and voice privately, general music in the classroom from ages PreK-3 to college, and directed theater and choir, she also has toured nationally with Broadway shows and internationally as a singer and headlining entertainer on luxury cruise ships. She also has sung with several bands and lounge acts over the course of her career. Corinne holds three degrees in voice and is a certified vocal pedagogue with MTNA Bachelor & Master of Music in Voice Performance (Opera, Concert, and Choral), and Bachelor of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders (Speech Pathology/Voice Disorders and Audiology). Corinne is a certified and listed teaching member of MTNA (Music Teachers National Association), as well as NATS (National Association for Teachers of Singing). As a master vocal technician, Corinne Bach uses a specific technique based in the Bel Canto tradition, passed down generationally by Manuel Garcia & Mathilde Marchesi, developed by Ms. Bach’s mentor and further refined by Ms. Bach, incorporating her expertise in modern voice science. This technique, now called the 12 Heritage Vocal Exercises, is taught methodically and in precise order to build strong voices by increasing stamina, expanding vocal range, increasing flexibility, and enhancing tone. The 12 Heritage Vocal Exercises are also used to prevent and aid in the recovery from vocal injuries, in conjunction with a doctor's care. Their benefits are extensive, making them an effective method for expediting the achievement of your fullest vocal potential. As a career mentor, Corinne offers a practical and systematic approach to growing one’s singing career. The model Corinne has developed is from decades of her own professional experience in the music industry, from singing in bands, theater, and opera, to arranging and producing her own shows and cabarets, with her own recordings and music videos as well. Corinne has years of touring experience, from Broadway shows to cruise ships, to headlining her solo and duo shows. Corinne is called on as a soprano soloist with masterworks chorales as well as with household names like Andrea Bocelli, Josh Groban, Kenny Rogers, Sarah Brightman, and Kristin Chenoweth. She has even been a featured singer on a heavy metal album by the band Iced Earth. Corinne is also an advocate for music education to be brought back into all public schools, especially for singers. If all schools brought back choir and competitive singing, then anyone could access their singing voice and have a creative outlet for life, whether they choose to go on to college for singing or not. Singing has long been studied and known to have major cognitive benefits, which assist in the learning of all other subject areas. Not only that, but the joy, healing, and camaraderie of singing in a choir can benefit a child beyond the cognitive into the social.

Corinne lives in Tampa and I don’t, but I would really like to take private or group lessons with her. Do you offer online learning?Yes! Corinne offers online lessons live as well as in-person in her studio in downtown Tampa, Florida. If you find yourself in the Tampa Bay area, you can take a lesson in-person. Corinne’s students are all over the world, but even her local students love taking online lessons for convenience. Corinne’s voice studio is just steps away from the scenic Riverwalk and two buildings over from the Straz Performing Arts Center.

Online music lessons usually suck, with that annoying delay and the sound constantly cutting in and out. How does Corinne resolve this in online lessons?Corinne uses a specialized online tool called FarPlay. It’s similar to FaceTime, Skype, or Zoom, but specific to musicians without the frustrating delay or sound cutting in and out as you sing or play together. FarPlay is changing the game in online music teaching and collaboration, because it enables you to play music with others over the internet as if you were in the same room. There is virtually undetectable delay and the sound quality is superb. Online teaching is not new but FarPlay has enabled Corinne to teach singers thousands of miles away, and apart from each other. Based in Tampa, Florida, some of Corinne’s regular voice students are as far away as Vancouver, Canada, Seattle, Washington, and Honolulu, Hawaii. Plus, it’s free for Corinne’s students to use during lessons.

What are you offering as business opportunities within the entertainment field, like dealing with auditions and recording?Corinne Bach has a worldwide network of coaches, performers, casting directors, and others. Subscribe to her YouTube channel where you can meet some of them in the Successful Singers Interview Series. You’ll meet Broadway, Met Opera, and West End singers, a Grammy-winning choral director and soloist, touring singer/songwriters, a casting director for cruise ships and Broadway, and more. Corinne coaches singers to build themselves first as a brand, then begin negotiating contracts for themselves rather than through an agent, though we do have agencies we’re connected with if you choose to go that route. Once a singer’s overall brand is in place (setlist, social media, demos, EPK, etc.), we are ready to build out your ideal performance venue list. This includes local, regional, national, and international venues. We will begin with contacting the most realistic venues they are ready to sing in and work our way into more challenging venues. This instills a repeatable process of making money by singing, getting stage time, and building a following. NOTE: This takes time. Be patient with the process and with yourself. But most of all, SHOW UP! If you are looking for a quick and easy path to becoming famous, THIS IS NOT FOR YOU. Notoriety, even A-lister fame, will come when you are passionate, well-trained, and show up as a reliable professional in the industry. If you are looking to have a career in singing because you love it and you want it to be your money-maker, then THIS IS FOR YOU.

Put in the work, and we guarantee it will work for you.
